Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Marcus Rashford has been told he would be a ‘great fit’ for Barcelona – but not for the reasons the Manchester United forward would have hoped.
Rashford has been linked with the Catalan giants in recent weeks as the January transfer window approaches, with new Barca boss Xavi looking to make inroads with his squad next month.
The rumours come amid a rough patch in Rashford’s time at United, with the England international struggling for form so far this season, having not scored since the 3-0 win over Tottenham at the end of October.
Barcelona, meanwhile, are well off the pace in La Liga, sitting 15 points off leaders Real Madrid, and looking set for a fight just to make the top four this season.
