Passengers at Amsterdam's Schipol Airport were left in shock after a person was killed when they were horrifically sucked into a plane engine.
The tragic incident involved an individual, who has not yet been identified as either a passenger or an airport employee, becoming trapped in the engine of a KLM Cityhopper Embraer E190 as it was preparing for takeoff.
Horrified witnesses described hearing a "hellish noise" as the person was drawn into and crushed by the jet turbine. One onlooker recounted: "Many people saw it happen." In response to the distressing event, Amsterdam Schipol Airport has confirmed that both passengers and staff witnessed the gruesome scenes and is providing support to those affected, reports the Mirror.
