Manuel Ugarte has warned Ruben Amorim there's a 'lot of work to do' ahead of his arrival at Manchester United. The 39-year-old will swap the José Alvalade Stadium for Old Trafford later this month after agreeing to replace Erik ten Hag as head coach.

In order to secure his signature, the Reds Devils negotiated a compensation package with Sporting CP, who currently sit top of the Primeira Liga after a perfect start to the season.

Amorim has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract at United, and he'll take charge of his first game against Ipswich Town in the Premier League on November 24.

The Portuguese tactician, who's expected to add Carlos Fernandes and Adelio Candido to his backroom staff, will have the upcoming international break to get his feet under the table at Carrington.
