Temperatures will continue to rise throughout the Easter period, according to forecasters. This weekend, Manchester will be hotter than Ibiza and Majorca.
The usual temperature for Manchester around this time of years is around 11C. But forecasters are predicting that temperatures will reach as high as 16.5C in Manchester.
It means that the North West will be hotter than many popular sun-bathing destinations around Europe. "Feeling pleasantly warm by day, but a touch chilly overnight, with a few morning mist patches." Meanwhile, in sun-seeking places like Ibiza and Bodrum, Turkey, the temperature will be slightly lower at 16C over the next couple of days with plenty of clouds while Majorca will have plenty of rain at 15C.
Temperatures for the week will peak at 17C tomorrow, the Met Office says, but will remain sunny and a consistent 16C well into the weekend.
