The 19-year-old made 14 appearances for the Under-23s this season, scoring four goals and notching six assists, and was handed his senior United debut in the 2-1 defeat by Astana in the Europa League last year.
The Manchester-born forward took to Instagram to reveal the blow, writing: "Today I've received the news that no footballer wants to hear, that I've damaged my ACL."There's no words to describe how devastated I felt when I got this news.
I thought everything was going good, I felt fit and strong and couldn't wait to be out there on the field playing matches."It's not really sunk in.
