Van de Beek and Sancho both completed 90 minutes as United were ejected from the domestic cup competition at Old Trafford and the duo could struggle to start against Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday.
United signed Van de Beek for a fee rising to £40million from Ajax last year but he has only started 17 times for the club and the £72.9m Sancho is yet to register a goal or assist in seven appearances.
