The 19-year-old has enjoyed a brilliant start to life in professional football with his strength, speed and goalscoring qualities seeing him likened to Erling Haaland.
Unsurprisingly, Ferguson's form has seen him be linked to a host of clubs including United. Reports in September suggested the Reds had attempted to sign Ferguson in the summer but their bid was 'laughed off' and MEN Sport understands the Reds are keeping a watchful eye on his progress.
With an approach from United on the backburner, Ferguson has continued to flourish under Roberto De Zerbi's mentorship.
