Manchester United are reportedly considering Thomas Meunier as an 'alternative' to Barcelona's Sergino Dest ahead of the transfer deadline.
According to The Telegraph, Borussia Dortmund are 'desperate to sell' Meunier this summer in order to remove his €150,000 (£129,000) weekly wage from their salary bill.
The defender is thought to be available on loan or a permanent transfer this window as the German club look to sanction a deal to get the Belgian international off their books.
United are also believed to be interested in signing Dest from Barcelona, but time is running out for both parties to reach a compromise over a deal for the 21-year-old.
