Manchester United signing Viktor Gyokeres would be "harsh" on current Reds forward Rasmus Hojlund. That is the verdict of former United forward Teddy Sheringham, who believes splashing the cash on Gyokeres represents a risk.

Gyokeres has scored 31 goals in 29 games for Portuguese side Sporting CP, following on from an incredible 43-goal haul in all competitions last season.

Hojlund has scored seven goals in 23 appearances this term, while Joshua Zirkzee has only scored four times since his move from Bologna.
