Manchester United's value has increased to $6.2billion (£4.96bn), making them the most valuable football club in the world. That is according to figures collected by Sportico, whose data has seen United's value increase by £230m over the past 12 months.
Real Madrid are second on the list, valued at $6.06bn. Barcelona ($5.28bn), Liverpool ($5.11bn) and Bayern Munich ($4.8bn) have joined United and Madrid in the top five.
United and Liverpool are two of nine Premier League clubs who have made it into the top 50. That has positioned them sixth on the list. Sportico reach their findings by calculating revenue streams based on figures published by club accounts.
