The resumption of training for Premier League players is the biggest step yet towards a return to matches. Manchester United and the 19 other Premier League clubs were able to train in small groups from Wednesday onwards, with the hope that fixtures will resume towards the middle of June. "Project Restart" continues to be discussed by the footballing authorities, but the Premier League look set to push for a resumption on either June 12 or June 19, with the correct safety protocols put in place.
For Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, that will mean resuming their fight for Champions League qualification against the likes of Chelsea, Wolves and Sheffield United.
