Manchester United will play five pre-season friendlies this summer to prepare for the new Premier League season. Erik ten Hag has joined United on a three-year contract, with the option of an additional year, and he'll start working with the players on June 27 when pre-season begins at Carrington.

United will then embark on a tour of different locations across the world. Ten Hag will be joined by assistant coaches Steve McClaren and Mitchell van der Gaag, and United are set to visit Thailand, Australia and Norway this summer.

It will be United's first pre-season tour for three years after the pandemic caused logistical travel issues.
