Manchester United legend John O'Shea lands Republic of Ireland job for March friendlies

Interim boss John O'Shea will be taking charge of the Republic of Ireland's friendly games in March. The former Manchester United player turned coach has been picked by the Football Association of Ireland to lead the team.

He previously worked as an assistant to Stephen Kenny, a past manager. In his time as head coach, he'll enjoy support from Paddy McCarthy, a coach at Crystal Palace.

His leadership skills will be tested in matches against Belgium and Switzerland next month.
