Manchester United are one of three English sides to have sent scouts to watch Brøndby midfielder Nicolai Vallys, according to reports in Denmark.
United remain open to strengthening in central midfield, with Erik ten Hag keen to find successors to the likes of Christian Eriksen and Casemiro.
Both will turn 32 in February, with the former set to enter the final 12 months of his contract come summer. As such, United are planning for life without the Danish international and Ekstra Bladet reports they they are eyeing one of his compatriots.
Attacking midfielder Vallys was the hero on Sunday, scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 win against FC Nordsjælland, and scouts were in attendance to track his progress.
