Manchester United have reportedly entered discussions with Atletico Madrid for striker Alvaro Morata. Anthony Martial’s injury has further highlighted a shortfall in attacking options to Erik ten Hag, who always wanted an offensive reinforcement this window.
Morata had an underwhelming Premier League stay with Chelsea between 2017 and 2020. The Spaniard netted 24 times in 72 outings before being loaned out to Atletico prior to his permanent move.
Morata has spent the last two years on loan at Juventus, who ultimately opted against triggering an option-to-buy clause.
