Manchester United have held positive initial talks with Axel Disasi over a proposed summer move, according to reports, as Erik ten Hag continues to map out future transfer plans.
Coming up a year on from his Old Trafford appointment, Ten Hag wants at least two major signings when the market reopens. England captain Harry Kane is target number one in his search for a new striker - while United also have a dynamic central midfielder on their shopping list.
Further additions might well depend on who leaves the club with United open to selling Harry Maguire, Alex Telles, Brandon Williams and Anthony Martial to generate funds.
However, if Maguire or Victor Lindelof move on, Ten Hag is expected to pursue defensive cover with Disasi thought to be high on his radar. READ MORE: Casemiro issue signals transfer priority Disasi, 25, plays for AS Monaco and has been capped three times by the France national team.
