Manchester United greats including Peter Schmeichel send condolences after Sir Bobby Charlton passing

Manchester United greats have continued to add their names to the book of condolences for Sir Bobby Charlton. The news of Charlton's passing emerged last Saturday, leaving the football world in mourning.

The tributes poured in from around the world for one of football's greatest ever players and a book of condolences at Old Trafford was opened.

Figures from the club's past and present have signed the book with their own personal messages, including Erik ten Hag, captain Bruno Fernandes and other first-team members, along with youngsters from the academy. Schmeichel said earlier this week: "When you look at what he achieved as a football player, it's incredible. To survive the Munich air disaster and to play football after that, winning the Ballo d'Or and World Cup, is special. "I've never heard people talk about players in such esteem, we've lost an incredible, important person to football." Fans can leave their own messages at the International Suite at Old Trafford between 10am and 10pm, apart from matchdays.
