Marcus Rashford will hold out on signing a new contract at Manchester United until assessing what prospective new owners can offer him, according to reports.
Rashford will enter the final 12 months of a four-year deal come summer and has been in talks with the club for some time as current owners the Glazers try and tie him down to a fresh deal.
Those in charge at United are reportedly trying to impose a salary cap in order to avoid a repeat of the situation that saw Cristiano Ronaldo earn far more than anyone else in the squad.
However that decision limits the maximum amount they can offer the in-form Rashford, whose 27 goals in all competitions this season is almost three times anyone else at the club - Bruno Fernandes has 10.
