Manchester United midfielder Donny Van de Beek has been backed to be given a chance and succeed at Old Trafford by fans after his interview with Rio Ferdinand.
The Dutch midfielder signed from Ajax in a £40m deal in the summer of 2020, but found first-team opportunities incredibly tough to come by during his first season at the club.
Van de Beek earned just 511 minutes of Premier League action in his debut campaign in England, with just eight starts in all competitions and was linked with a move away this summer.
But Van de Beek instead opted to stay put at Old Trafford and fight for his place in the United team, though minutes have been similarly hard to come by for the 24-year-old, who hasn't yet featured in the league this season.
