Former Premier League defender Curtis Woodhouse has described Ryan Giggs as the 'most overrated player of the last 50 years' and claimed Paul Scholes' greatness is a 'footballing myth.' Woodhouse, who's career peaked during his time at Sheffield United and Birmingham, took to Twitter this weekend to express his opinions on what he called a number of 'myths' - centred around Giggs and Scholes.
On Giggs, Woodhouse described the United legend's goalscoring record as average, saying he was 'never anywhere near world class.' He tweeted: "Giggs burst onto the scene in 1991 winning the PFA young player of the year award, the only player to win it twice, in 91 he scored 4 with 1 assist in 27 appearances.
