A Manchester United fan who made sickening Hillsborough gestures at Liverpool fans during a Premier League match at Anfield has been banned from attending football games for three years.
Season ticket holder Callum Fleming, 24, was seen in the stands mocking the 97 victims of the disaster by pretending to choke himself and making it appear as if he was being crushed.
The incident on April 19 this year occurred just four days after the 33rd anniversary of the 1989 tragedy. After his gestures were reported to stewards, Fleming initially gave false information to police but eventually gave his name before being kicked out of the stadium.
