United transfer business could benefit City United’s transfer business this summer could inadvertently end up helping Manchester City financially.
Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s transfer wishlist, with the Bundesliga club said to be holding out for a fee more than £100m.
However, a 15 per cent sell on clause from his original £8m transfer from City’s academy in 2017 would see the Etihad club cash in on any deal for the player.
The MEN reported this week that United are looking at Schalke winger Rabbi Matondo as a cheaper alternative to Sancho. The Schalke winger also left City as younger with Pep Guardiola’s side due 10 per cent from the Welsh youngster’s next move.
