Manchester United are close to agreeing a deal to sign Manuel Ugarte from Paris St-Germain after productive talks with the French giants.
Ugarte has been United's top midfield target throughout the summer and the 23-year-old has been desperate to make the move to Old Trafford, but the two clubs were some way apart in their valuation during talks earlier in the window.
But Ugarte was left out of the PSG squad for their opening fixture of the Ligue 1 campaign last weekend and further talks have been held between the two clubs this week, with a deal now thought to be imminent.
That is likely to be a season-long loan move with an obligation to buy.
