Goalkeeper Romero wanted to join Everton on deadline day and his wife accused the club of showing him 'no respect' by denying him the loan move.
The 33-year-old, who is in the final year of his contract, has now been left out of the squad for the Champions League and the Premier League and is still to return to training with United this season.
Jones is also out of both the Premier League and Champions League squads. The 28-year-old hasn't played for United since January and is currently injured, but his contract runs until 2023.
