Manchester United are optimistic of concluding a deal to sign Bayern Munich right back Noussair Mazraoui. United are also planning to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham United to make room for Mazraoui.
Mazraoui, 26, was expected to join West Ham last week but a £16.42million move collapsed and the Hammers have turned their attention to long-time target Wan-Bissaka.
West Ham were interested in signing Wan-Bissaka on loan during Erik ten Hag's first season as United manager. United were open to selling Wan-Bissaka two years ago but decided to keep him last summer after an improved spell of form.
London-born Wan-Bissaka, 26, would be receptive to moving back to the capital five years after he signed for United in a £50m deal.
