Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.
The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. In recent years, everyday expenses have soared and according to Russell Group analysis, some students are living on average just £2 per week over the destitution line in the UK despite some working.
One in four students in the UK regularly go without food and other necessities because they cannot afford them, rising to over three in 10 for students from the most socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds.
In response to the current climate, the University of Manchester is urging students to take advantage of help. In a post on the uni's student news site, the university said: "We know that the rising cost of living is impacting nearly everyone across the country, including you, our students.
And it can be especially difficult over the winter months with increasing energy bills and additional financial worries. "If you're struggling to make ends meet and you're unable to cover essential, day-to-day costs, our Cost of Living Support Fund may be able to help.
