Manchester Piccadilly passengers told 'do not travel' due to major rail disruption

Rail passengers have been warned not to travel to or from Manchester Piccadilly amid major transport disruption. A trespasser on the railway around the Levenshulme area has caused all lines to be blocked.

Police are at the scene. All stations between Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly are closed. The disruption is expected to continue until 9pm.

Trains are being recovered, which means there will be delays and disruption." Trains due to call at these stations are being delayed by up to 90 minutes or cancelled.
