A man from Manchester has been arrested in connection with a fatal crash that saw a BMW plough into a pedestrian before smashing into a wall.
Emergency services were called to the horror collision on Colne Road in Brierfield, Lancashire, on Sunday night (March 31). Police and paramedics descended on the road at around 8.30pm.
It was established that a BMW M5 had struck a pedestrian and then collided with a wall, close to a bus stop. A man in his 50s was found unresponsive and was later pronounced dead at the scene. Two men, including a man from Manchester, have since been arrested in connection with the fatal collision. A 28-year-old man from Brierfield and a 40-year-old man from Manchester were both arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remain in custody currently.
