The Marble Arch has been named in the top five gastropubs in the UK. The iconic pub, on Rochdale Road, came in at number four in the annual list, behind famous names like The Sportsman in Seasalter, Kent, and The Star Inn at Harome in North Yorkshire, which landed at number one.
The Manchester pub, known by locals simply as The Arch, is run by independent Manchester brewery Marble, and boasts a full range of its multi-award-winning beers on tap.
Featuring a wealth of its original features, from the floor tiles which slope downwards towards the bar to its moulded ceiling, the pub also does excellent food and has a great beer garden with mini sheds to shelter in.
Also featuring on the list was the Parkers Arms near Clitheroe, which scooped number one in the recent Top 50 Gastropubs list.
