Chinese New Year celebrations will get underway in Manchester City Centre this weekend as families and friends gather to continue their celebration of the Year of the Snake.
Officially, Chinese New Year, also known as Spring Festival and Lunar New Year took place on Wednesday (January 29), but is celebrated for several weeks.
Here in Manchester, the city centre has been transformed with red lanterns and decorations ahead of the main events taking place on Saturday and Sunday.
Those travelling into the city can expect street food markets, music and performances, as well as family-friendly activities throughout the two days.
