Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our personalised newsletter.A Larkhall man who admitted assault and weapon charges has been warned he’s on his last chance.Mark Cunningham, 25, of Cherrytree Crescent, was placed under supervision for a year at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week.Police officers saw him brandishing a copper pipe when he emerged from a car in Craigbank Road, Larkhall, on November 30 last year.Aga Mathieson, prosecuting, said the officers were in the area to deal with an incident at 3.30am.Cunningham made off but was caught.

He then failed to take a breath test.Defence agent Stephen McQuillan said his client armed himself and went to Craigbank Street because he’d heard a relative was in trouble..
