United cannot really afford any slip ups with the team way down in 13th place going into today’s crunch clash with high-flying Southampton at St Mary’s (2pm).As a result, Solskjaer gave his players the chance to recuperate before entering the busy period of games.United’s last outing was on Tuesday night as they thumped Istanbul Basaksehir 4-1 at Old Trafford in the Champions League.
