Manchester United's decision not to sign Jack Grealish was narrowed down to two reasons for the club's hierarchy. The 25-year-old has started this season in magnificent form, leading Aston Villa to thrashings over Liverpool and Arsenal.
It has led many to question United's inability to land the Englishman over the summer. Instead, the Red Devils signed Donny van de Beek from Ajax as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eyed more reinforcements in midfield.
And there lies one of the main problems. According to the Manchester Evening News, Grealish had moved from a midfield role to one deployed on the left-hand side of Villa's attack.
