Man Utd 'ready for transfer battle' with Atletico Madrid for Watford's Pervis Estupinan

Man Utd are prepared to battle Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Watford youngster Pervis Estupinan, according to reports from Ecuadorian publication Expreso.

The 22-year-old has been plying his trade out on loan at Osasuna in La Liga this season, and has caught the eye of United scouts.

A number of Italian clubs have also shown an interest in the left-back, who is yet to make an appearance for Watford. The Hornets loaned the Ecuadorian to Osasuna for a period of two years from 2019 but have the option to recall him at the end of the current season.

Estupinan's recall clause is based on two conditions - either that Watford intend to use him in their own first-team squad, or that they are planning to sell him.
