Manchester United are prepared to sell Sergio Romero in January for half of what they were demanding in the summer. The Argentine goalkeeper was seeking an Old Trafford exit once Dean Henderson returned and relegated him to third choice.
United wanted £5m for Romero but no club was prepared to meet that valution. It meant the shot stopper had to stay put which bought about an angry reaction from him and his wife.
Romero's contract is winding down, but United have threatened to trigger a contract extension clause in his deal as they hold out for their asking price.
