Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson is locking horns with neighbours who want to build a mammoth three-storey mansion next door to his home.
Plans for the mansion were rebuffed by the council last year after the 78-year-old insisted it was too big and the design wasn’t good enough.
Ferguson lives in a £2.3m-valued property in Wilmslow, Cheshire, with his wife Cathy. His neighbours, Peter and Josephine Wilson, have submitted new proposals to demolish their current house and replace it with a more imposing property.
The Wilson’s are selling their house and potential buyers reportedly want permission for the plans before making an offer. However, Fergie has objected to revised plans on the grounds that the aesthetics are not in-keeping
