Manchester United are on the lookout for an elite midfielder amid the increasing possibility of Paul Pogba's exit. Pogba has just one-year left on his current deal and United risk losing the Frenchman on a free next summer if his future is not resolved.
The Mirror understands the 28-year-old has rejected a contract worth £50m at Old Trafford and has his sight set on a departure.
United have been keen to tie down Pogba to a long-term deal and are willing to offer him a pay hike on his £250,000-per-week contract.
But Pogba is believed to want a new challenge elsewhere and has turned down a stay to force through a move to PSG. However, Pogba may not be the only midfielder PSG want to prize away from United.
