Alexis Sanchez and Chris Smalling will remain in Italy for the remainder of the season after Manchester United chose to extend their loan deals.
The pair have spent the season in Serie A with Inter Milan and Roma respectively. Neither look to have a future at Old Trafford and the Red Devils have chosen to extend their time away in Italy before making a decision on their next move.
Smalling has fared better than Sanchez with Roma keen to keep the centre-half in the capital beyond this season. The Chilean however has struggled with injuries and been unable to nail down a place in Antonio Conte's first team at the San Siro.
