Manchester United have been given a huge boost to their hopes of signing Viktor Gyokeres. The 26-year-old striker has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford following the appointment of Ruben Amorim, who'll start his new role on November 11.
Gyokeres, who sees his contract at the Jose Alvalade Stadium expire in June 2028, has featured 10 times for Sporting CP in the Primeira Liga this season, scoring 16 goals.
Playing a key role in Amorim's side, the Portuguese giants have enjoyed a perfect start of the campaign and climbed to the top of the table.
The Sweden international has been instrumental for Sporting in the Champions League too, netting a hat-trick against Manchester City on Wednesday night to maintain their unbeaten run.
