Manchester United fans launched beer cans at a coach supposedly carrying a group of their own young supporters during their pre-Liverpool match protests. In videos shared to social media, multiple projectiles can be seen being launched at the vehicle as it travelled towards Old Trafford.

It appeared as though those involved believed it was either the Liverpool squad or a group of their travelling fans on board. They could be heard chanting "murderers" and "you scouse b*******" in the direction of the coach.

However, an account named Beeline VIP Coaches claimed on Twitter that it was a group of United-supporting kids they were transporting to the game.READ MORE: Roy Keane sympathises with Man Utd fans with Glazers protests 'not going away'Their post read: "Many thanks you idiots, we were bringing a group of kids to the game (Manchester United fans) all were frightened to death where were the @gmpolice when we needed you to keep the coach and kids safe???"The account went on to confirm they are a "Manchester firm" in a separate tweet, before later adding: "Yeah [we're] fine.
