Manchester United could repeat the transfer trick that allowed them to poach Ruben Amorim from Sporting CP last month in order to sign striker Viktor Gyokeres.
The 26-year-old has previously played in England with Brighton, Swansea City and Coventry City, but currently plays his football in Portugal with Amorim's former club.
It was the United boss who signed him from Coventry back in the summer of 2023, and he has already scored over 60 goals for Sporting across all competitions in just a season and a half.
Gyokeres' inspired form in front of goal has made him a transfer target for a number of top European clubs, including United and Arsenal.
