Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim laughed off any suggestion that he was annoyed with Ed Sheeran after he interrupted his post-match interview with Sky Sports following Sunday's clash against Ipswich Town.

Amorim was by the side of the pitch speaking to the Super Sunday panel when Sheeran came down and interrupted the interview to say hello to Jamie Redknapp.

This led to a pause in the conversation as Kelly Cates explained to the singer that they were live on Sky Sports. As this was taking place, Amorim looked to be annoyed at being interrupted mid-flow which led to Sheeran apologising to the Portuguese on social media the following day. "Apologies if I offended Amorim yesterday, didn't actually realise he was being interviewed at the time, was popping to say hi and bye to Jamie [Redknapp]," he wrote on his Instagram story.
