Shocking CCTV footage appears to show a man throwing a missing pet dog into a car boot by its legs. Six-year-old Cocker spaniel, called Lassie, was allegedly taken from her back garden pen in Stokesley, North Yorkshire, on July 28 last year.
There was a nationwide appeal online by concerned members of the public and a large investigation has been held by police. But seven months later, the family pet remains missing leaving owner Thomas Calvert feeling lost.
He told Hambleton Today : "The last seven months has been full of heartbreak, especially as we had to see her on CCTV getting carried by her back legs and bundled in to a waiting car." He said he wouldn't stop looking until his best friend was back with him, where she belongs.
