A brave mum selflessly sacrificed her own life to save her twin boys by shielding them with her body, her family said. Hillarie Galazka, 29, was driving back to her home in Lincoln Park, Michigan on March 1 when her car was rear-ended on an interstate entrance.
She threw herself in front of her children Hunter and Owen, both five, to block the impact, according to reports - leaving them with minor injuries.
But the heroic act meant the mum was tragically killed, reports FOX2. Hillarie's mum Jodie Kelley said: "Her body saved them. "The boys say they saw her open her eyes, and look at them and then she closed her eyes, never opened them again.
