A man in his forties who "hit the motherload" when he found nearly £18,000 in lost savings is urging other people to check if they might have any forgotten pension pots from old jobs.
You might think that it would be difficult to lose or misplace £18,000 worth of savings, but army veteran Robert Sullivan is just one of the many people in the UK missing pension savings worth over £26 billion.
It's not uncommon for pension pots to be misplaced, particularly if you've changed jobs or addresses frequently, with three million people estimated to be missing potentially life-changing retirement cash.
Robert Sullivan, a 46 year old from Dorset and ex-British Army staff, found himself among these statistics until very recently, the Mirror reports.
