A man was shot after he was lured into an ambush. The 32-year-old victim was one of four men who pulled up in a red BMW on Oldham Road, in Miles Platting, Manchester.

Police believe they had arrived to meet two other men to resolve a dispute. But after waiting a while the two men they had arranged to meet did not show up.

Two of the men in the BMW then got out of the car and began walking away. But as they walked on Oldham Road they were ambushed from behind and one was shot.

Two men, including a gunman, were involved in the attack. Police believe the man who was shot was an innocent victim as he was not involved in the dispute but happened to be with others who were.
