Man set to appear in court following crash in Tameside

A man is to appear in court following a crash in Tameside. Ryan Cook, 32, has been charged with a number of driving offences following the alleged incident on Albion Way in Ashton-under-Lyne at about 9.20pm on Monday night (August 8).

A Mercedes driver was taken to hospital with what police described as 'bone injuries'. Mr Cook, of Hope Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving; failing to stop, driving without insurance and failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

A date for his first appearance in court is yet to be set.
