Man seeks £1 million in damages from Fettes College over alleged abuse

dailyrecord.co.ukA man who claims he was sexually and physically abused by a teacher at one of Scotland’s top private schools in the 1970s is seeking £1 million in damages against the institution.
The former pupil, referred to in a court document only as EG, claims as a result of the alleged abuse he suffered at Fettes College in Edinburgh he has suffered and continues to suffer loss, injury and damage.
He is said to have dropped out of school, turned to taking drugs and suffered a wide range of various forms of psychological damage.
The pursuer argues he is likely to have obtained better qualifications, a degree at university and found employment in a professional occupation and is likely to have earned more than he has to date.His claims are for
