A man has been rushed to hospital after being rescued from a car by firefighters following a crash. Police taped off Drake Street, in Rochdale, following the crash near to Castlemere Street.
Emergency services were called out to the scene at around 6.20pm today (March 12). Firefighters used specialist equipment to rescue a man from one of the cars involved.
He was then taken to hospital by ambulance. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At around 6.20pm on Sunday, March 12, GMFRS crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Drake Street, Rochdale.
