Emergency services scrambled with air ambulance spotted after child hit by car

Emergency services rushed to a residential estate in Stockport this evening (Friday) after a child was struck by a car. The collision happened on Walnut Tree Road in Cheadle Heath at around 4pm.

Locals reported seeing a number of police and paramedic vehicles on the street, off Swythamley Road just behind a nearby Aldi store.

The air ambulance was also spotted landing in the area. Enquiries are said to be ongoing. The child's age and gender are not yet known and no further details about the incident have been released.
